DEAN’S BEDSIDE MANNER

Steven Taylor has an interesting discussion as to the impact of Howard Dean’s previous career as a physician on his perceived arrogance. Interestingly, Dean’s spokesman on Fox News Sunday used a variation of that argument as a defense for some of Dean’s gaffes.

Update (1055): I looked at FNS’s online transcript of the Grossman interview and couldn’t find the quote. Either it’s incomplete or it was someone else who said it.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.
