Death To Bin Laden: New Saudi Initiative

Breaking: Saudi leader refuses to acknowledge right of Osama Bin Laden to exist;

Speaking at a meeting of Saudi leaders in preparation for the kingdom’s international conference on counterterrorism, Defense Minister Prince Sultan referred to Osama bin Laden as being “sent by the Jews.”

The prince was quoting a poet who said, “Long live security – may its men hold their heads high on every corner. [Bin Laden], whose ideology is sick, who was sent by the Jews, who is the architect of theft, was treacherous and sent us the criminals. This traitor of the nation tried to harm us, but his efforts boomeranged back upon him.”

Pure genius.

*blargh*

That is funny, especially since bin Laden is one of them. Prince Sultan has gone nutso if he thinks the 'Jews' sent bin Laden to torment them.

The idea of bin Laden being "sent by the Jews" is twisted and insane, but almost encouraging when you consider the source. Basically Sultan was just saying the worst thing he could think of about bin Laden.

No, the worst he could have said about bin Laden is that he IS Jewish. heh.

I'm with Mark, here.
Do not discount the symbolism here; So much of the Arab world is rich with it. The House of Saud has more support than you imagine.. and that kind of weight behind the elimination of BinLaden can only be regarded as a good thing.

are we still looking for Bin Laden?

I thought it was- Mission Accomplished-

Maybe Sultan is prodding a Bush?

I suppose that is the local way of saying that
Bin Laden is beyond the pale, and that those
who follow him are not martyrs and potential
martyrs, but anathema.

Good propaganda.
