Nor, I&#039;m afraid, is a strong stand.  
It is, rather, an acceptance of reality.  
The reality that for all the political gamesmanship going on over these issues, the stand that the president took was the only one to take in the end.  

And the yipping from the lapdogs is inevitable.  Then again, they are still insulated from that reality.</description>
