A man trying to serve his country which the British media at least had the decency to protect is ruined by self-serving journalistic ego, forced to have to leave his regiment because you made it too dangerous for him to continue. what money are you referring to since access to the "drudge report" is a free service Dunno what your browser's cutting out, Wolfie, but the Drudge Report that comes up on my screen has advertising on it, for which Matt Drudge is paid, presumably on a views-per-month basis?

Given that the concern was that all Taliban within 1000 miles would head for the base to destroy it, I would think that at a minimum, they would want to keep the story going that he is still there. Nothing like getting a guerrilla fighter to pop his head up to accomplish a mission. I understand why the UK military is doing what it is doing. On the other hand, McCain has a son serving as a marine in Iraq. While McCain's son is not in line for being king, McCain has a reasonable chance of being president.

One has to ask himself (or herself) what money are you referring to since access to the "drudge report" is a free service. What other gains were had? Sure, Matt can chalk up another "leak before the press gets it" story, but honestly, this is what Matt has been celebrated for. Getting the story out when no one else would or does. Yes, publishing a story about Harry serving does bolster the Taliban to find a high profile target to kidnap, but if I were Harry and I trusted the men I serve with, I would say to hell with publicity and serve my time. Period. A commitment is a commitment. To then blame Drudge or call him a slime for reporting on this story is ludicris and I would be more concerned with how much control over reporting the news a government truly has. Gentlemen "schmentlemen"

Apparently not an Aussie tabloid, but a womans magazine, who published it by mistake about a month ago; but nobody else spotted it at the time, or decided to keep quiet about the leak, perhaps on the basis that not many Taliban read Australian womens magazines.
