If you want to assess just how great his betrayal of his wife was (i.e., by putting at risk not just her mental but presumably also her physical health), and just how deep and reckless his own self-destructive streak was, that’s pretty conclusive IMHO.

DoJ sources elsewhere leaked that the "unsafe" reference was to Spitzer wanting to not use a condom, i.e., simple "unsafe sex." He's a white-bread guy, just wanted "no-glove luv." Kristen, to her credit, is quoted in the wire-taps explaining to her scheduler that she, at least, had better sense, handling him by saying: "Listen, dude, do you want the sex or not?" If you want to assess just how great his betrayal of his wife was (i.e., by putting at risk not just her mental but presumably also her physical health), and just how deep and reckless his own self-destructive streak was, that's pretty conclusive IMHO.

According to the warrant affidavit linked to over at Volokh Conspiracy she was only $1000 an hour. For that she had to be "fun loving" with Elliot Spitzer. Set aside any of her own desires or "ick" factors and she also had to manage some issues with him: "LEWIS continued that from what she had been told "he" (believed to be a reference to Client-9) "would ask you to do things that, like, you might not think were safe - you know - I mean that . . . very basic things.. . . " From reading other accounts by call girls about their clients, this was not one of the strange issues these girls deal with. Pajamas Media has a post by someone who was in the business with some very "icky" stories.

Exactly, Beldar. Given the money we know about...(And I suppose and expect there's a lot here we do NOT know about) this girl is one of a cast of literally hundreds.

Keep in mind that, although she's now been given great celebrity through the happenstance that she was the particular call-girl whom her agency sent to Washington on the particular occasion that the feds were all set up to run their wire-taps on Spitzer, she was only one of many, many -- and that ex-Gov. Spitzer, although apparently having "met" her before, had to be reminded of what she looked like.

I bear her no ill-will, but don't find her particularly interesting either, and I certainly have no sympathy for ex-Gov. Spitzer.
