Fake Bush a Disgrace
Andrew Sullivan posts the e-mailed fantasies of an unnamed reader about what motivates President Bush, from which he concludes that Bush is “a danger to the republic and a disgrace to his office.”
Surely, there are sufficient things for which Bush can be criticized without inventing some out of whole cloth?

...fantasies of an unnamed reader about what motivates President Bush...
It seems the only difference between this and what passes for informed commentary on Sunday morning talk shows is that no one is unnamed, except, of course, for "some" who will apparently say just about anything.
You're being unfair to Sully, he says "If this is an accurate assessment of the president's motives" then "he really is a danger to the republic and a disgrace to his office."
Ugh: C'mon. He's printing some yahoo's fantasy email for the sole reason of using it to bash Bush.
One does not escape culpability by printing wildly speculative material and then saying, "If it's true...." That's especially true if one is the one bringing said speculation to light.
Reality hasn't affected the writings of Andrew the Excitable for some years, now. Why should anybody be surprised that his readers ...(what remains of them) ...are even farther off the deep end, and are now leading him into ever more bizzare nonsense?
