It was reported that night on all the major news channels. Clinton's strongest suit was having TEAMS of people attack the press and get his side of the story out. I've never heard a single person say this.

Further, snopes knows nothing about it. (which actually solves it in my mind, she would never miss a story this big.)

I did a google search and found a few people claiming that but no documentation/ explanation how the myth got started.

All in all you can find far more people believe we never went to the moon than believe this.

You're right - hard to find anything that doesn't claim that Clinton stalled major airline traffic in the "liberal press"

In 1993, according to front-page headlines and blaring broadcast reports, Clinton shut down Los Angeles International Airport to get a trendy haircut from a celebrity stylist. Those reports, which turned out to be dead wrong, took on a life of their own because of alleged inconvenience to the passengers left circling in frustration.

While it was definitely a snafu in the scheduling office, I see no reason why the Leader of the Free World should have to adhere to some administrative screw-up. Plus, it's not like NATO members have been exactly RESPONSIVE to U.S. requests, are looking to form their own little Chocolate Alliance, etc. Make 'em reschedule.

The first is Robert B. Reich who never long for credibility to begin with and he was quite vague in his denial. The second was an opinion piece where she mentions it in passing but cites no evidence. (sorry I give her no more credibility than you)

If you google "clinton myth haircut lax" you only get 45 results. I skimmed each of them and all I found was liberals pundits CLAIMING it was a myth.

Surely if this really was a myth many of the myth/urban legend sites (snopes) would have picked it up. Certainly many more people than 45 would be talking about.

Too many of the "Clinton scandals" were 2% true and 98% fabrication. This LAX thing is one of those. Basic checking will prove the same for Kathleen Wiley (Ray thought about prosecuting her for lying), Flowers (amazing the stories you can buy for $150k in hard cash), Filegate (gardners and kitchen staff and secretaries - Oh my!)

Garbage like this LAX thing took wings because the press loves garbage that sells well - and Limbaugh, Hannity, and co. will back up anything of this sort.
