Kevin Drum has detailed instructions for creating permanent links in blogs for NYT stories, which otherwise disappear into the archives in a few days.
An alternative is to simply excerpt liberally, although the copyright implications of that technique are a bit fuzzy (to me, anyway).
About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama.
