FIRST SHOTS FIRED

FIRST SHOTS FIRED: Times Online reports that the Brits have killed at least one Iraqi who was attempting to mine the waters off Kuwait. (via Drudge)

UPDATE: You have to love Drudge for getting these clips up so quickly. 40 minutes have passed since I posted this–and I’m not sure how long Drudge had it up before I noticed it–but the New York Times and Washington Post haven’t reported it yet. You’d think they’d at least check the Drudge Report even if they didn’t do their own reporting….

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.
