Fox News Building Chemical Explosion
A chemical explosion in the New York office building that houses Fox News and the New York Post has left one person sightly injured.
The explosion happened at 10:39 a.m. on the building’s 45th floor, which houses the heating and cooling systems for the 47-story building. “We have some sort of reaction between two chemicals that caused a slight explosion,” said fire spokesman Jim Long.
There are no offices on the floor, but three floors were evacuated. The building is the headquarters for NewsCorp and houses Fox News and the New York Post, which were unaffected. Fox News is in the basement and continued broadcasting without interruption.
Unless the perpetrator was incredibly inept, this is most likely an accident and the presence of Fox News in the building coincidental. My instincts in that regard are buttressed by a look at the front page of both the Drudge Report and the Fox News website: Fox doesn’t mention the story at all (even though USA Today is providing minute-by-minute updates) and Drudge has it as the off-lede, favoring a story about Hillary Clinton looking tired.
Still, it’s worth keeping an eye on this.

The presence of Fox News in the building can hardly be coincidental. Everyone knows that Fox News makes people stupid and stupid people should not be allowed to play with chemicals that can explode when mixed.
