We're going to combat extreme demands by not making small, reasonable concessions . . .? Why not simply allow Muslims to choose their own physicians? It seems to me that this would be a great opportunity for female doctors. The public swimming pool thing is unworkable, unless there are times that private groups can "lease" the facilities for their own uses, and enforce their own rules. But not allowing head scarves in public amounts to placing Muslim women under house arrest. It's outrageous. --- This makes no sense.
