Not only did Arness decline, he reportedly responded, "Tell him I said, 'Fuck you.'" Oh, and I "filled in the blank" on the profanity. But, like you, I'll miss it. Something that always stuck in my mind as one of the reasons I liked Frasier: the jokes which made me laugh didn't make me feel crass and naughty for doing so... they made me feel smarter for having understood them. I will miss this much more than I will Friends. Adding on to the trivia... Did you know that Grammar is the only person to win an Emmy playing the same character on three different shows.
