MB,

Thanks. I've done that on a few of them after your suggestion the other day. It does get cumbersome after a while, though. Strangely, Volokh seems to manage to get his permalinks to work, but it's rare on blogspot.

Not really strange; a casual relationship exists between which bank of servers contains which blogs...in other words, blogs started way-back-when seem to have better luck at archiving, for the most part, than those started later on. Pyra had a terrible time when they got hacked; from then on, a huge batch of blogs suffered irreparable damage &/or loss to their archives which were never restored, and the functionality of what's left in that group is highly suspect.

Yes, JL has calmed down a bit. Funny thing is, though, that my colleagues still can't figure me out, even with the 3-piece. The students get it though. :-)

JL: Heh. Well, your colleagues are probably giving you the benefit of the doubt, since we all know conservatives are stupid and all professors are really, really brilliant. Therefore, no professor could be a conservative, right?

Bingo (and I had another colleague make the same observation to my face a year or so ago, though his was with a straight face).

But I will have to stay with the "stupid" demarcation until I move away from Blog*Spot. I intend to do it, but just haven't had the time.
