G-Mail Invites

I think everyone who wants G-Mail accounts has them at this point. I’ve got 40 to give away, though, should there be any takers.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.

I had fifty the other day, gave away three, and now I have fifty again.

If anyone needs one and doesn't have one at this point didn't hear about GMail until this week.

Gmail has also now sent invites to anyone who signed up for notification at the gmail website.

I've had a gmail account for around six months now, and Google haven't sent me a single invite to disburse.

It might have something to do with the fact that I've never actually bothered to use the account, but still.... how am I supposed to make friends and influence people if I don't have gmail invites to spread around???

One account, please.

I'll be your best pal.

Actually, I'll be about your thousandth-best pal, but still....

I don't see the big deal about gmail. I had an account, but didn't like their service and format as much as Yahoo's email (now that Yahoo expanded their free capacity), so I had my account deleted.

If you have one to spare, link me please :)

Thanks

The Gmail "invite" program was the smartest marketing scam in a long while.

G-Mail Invites

These things are like tribbles–they repopulate faster than I can give ‘em away.

I’ve got four more G-mail invites to the first three who request them in the comments below and provide an email address to which to send said invite.

Remaining: 2 (Until they give me more, at which point I’ll float this post to the top of the site again. So far, people keep wanting them, so I’ll continue the practice until they don’t.)

G-Mail Invites

The last two caption contest winners have declined their prize of G-mail invites. This once-valuable commodity has apparently reached some level of market saturation, finally. Even the “G-mail for troops” program, which accepted the invite that Terry Oglesby declined, hasn’t actually claimed it after several days.

I’ll keep a couple in reserve in case those are claimed but I’ll give out three invites on a first come, first served basis to OTB readers. Place your claims in the comments below.

UPDATE: Remaining invites: 3 2 1 All gone.

Me too. Send me an e-mail if you want one. (And James is out.)

I'll take one if it comes to that. I haven't been actively seeking one but my son has. I'd give it to him.

Well I guess that I am behind the times...No invite yet. I would appreciate it if you could send me a gmail invite. Do you need more contact info or is the email address enough?

Thanks,
Eric

If you still have one available, I'll take it. Might as well have yet another email address - plus G-Mail has the great geek factor.

Thanks,
Rich
