And, as generalizations go, this is false? Might not different cultures place different values on life?

There is plenty to criticize about Westy without digging.

Was impressed by his role at Remagen Bridge, however, which I'd forgotten or hadn't heard.

Missing from obits highlighting Westmoreland's "accomplishments" was the fact he was a pathetic racist whose tolerance of barbarism left a stain on the US's reputation worldwide. "The Oriental doesnât put the same high price on life as does the Westerner."
