Generation Next
Matthew Yglesias notes that Ann Hulbert’s column, which ostensibly reports on sophisticated statistical analysis of the differences between the 18-to-24-year old “Generation Next” and the 50-to-64-year-old “Baby Boomers,” incorporates some remarkably woeful statistical analysis. Shocking, that.
Even by journalistic standards, not understanding that “Roughly a third” and “35 percent” are represent similar numbers or that there are demographic differences between those generational cohorts beyond age is a bit much.
