GEPHART TO WITHDRAW, AGAIN

I could have sworn that Dick Gephardt conceded last night. I watched him on television doing it. “My campaign to fight for working people may be ending tonight, but our fight will never end.” That’s a concession, yes? But all the media sources insist that he’s “expected to drop out” later today.

I guess it all depends on what the meaing of “may” is.

Huh. I thought he dropped out last night as well. I thought maybe it was just me.

Possibly somebody convinced Gephardt that there was enough cash to give it one more shot with NH?

Not that I approve: I'd much rather that the Democrats spend that cash losing to Bush than them wasting it savaging each other.

No, I'm sure he's pulling out. He's not an idiot--if he didn't do well in Iowa, he's not going to do well anywhere.
