Dear Cindy Sheehan,

I have watched your message to our President on our local network.
I feel your pain.
I am sending you a virtual hug for all that is worth and hope your pain eases in time and you can let your boy rest.

I do not support your message however.

I believe that your son gave his life in service to his country. By signing his employment contract he was stating his belief that he too thought it was an honorable service and that he was willing to do whatever it took to make sure our countryâs future would be secure.

Please do not negate his gift or his honor.

What you do tells your fellow Americans that your son wanted the job but did not want to perform it.
You make it seem as if your son wanted all the benefits of service with no understanding that this job entailed possible sacrifices for the better good of his fellow countrymen.

Your message translates as his having wanted a paycheck and great benefits for doing work equivalent to any civilian job and with no risks.

The United States military is unlike any civilian job. The purpose of the American services is to secure this country and perform whatever is needed in order to accomplish this.

Your son knew this and I am sure that he was not only willing to do this, but took pride in the fact that he would do it.

Now let him go Mrs. Sheehan.

Please stop hassling the President for doing what it takes in these troubling times. Hassle him when he doesnât, because then we may have suicide bombers on our doorsteps and when your neighborâs five-year-old son is blown to pieces, please feel free to give the President hell!

Anjin-san, My buddy Steve recently came back from the wrong coast, and he and I went to the house that he grew up in. There was a sandbox in the backyard, and it is still there today. It is about 2x6. The sand has been changed many times over the past thirty years, but we spoke to the current owners and they are still finding plastic and lead Army men that we lost back then. Just because you cannot find something does not mean that it does not exist. Especially if you have neighbors, with their own sandboxes, who like to play with plastic and lead Army men as well.

Does everyone forget that she already HAS met with the President ? No one was interested in that meeting only when she made her demands when Move on.org and the liberal media jumped on ship and took over was there any interest in her and this meeting. Then ONLY because she came out against the President. One wonders that if someone were to camp out as she did and support the President and the war would they receive the same attention. Not likely. Anything against Bush and the war is all that is news worthy.

When was the last time Bush went into a room that had not been sanatized to prevent any possible dissent? I don't see it happening. Kind of sad that the President is afraid to face his critics...
