Gmail Custom Time
Gmail has finally come up with something useful:

Heh.
UPDATE (via Techcrunch): Google Australia has come up with an even better technology: gDay™ with MATE™, “enabling you to search content on the internet before it is created.”
The core technology that powers gDay™ is MATE™ (Machine Automated Temporal Extrapolation).
Using MATE’s™ machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques developed in Google’s Sydney offices, we can construct elements of the future.
Google spiders crawl publicly available web information and our index of historic, cached web content. Using a mashup of numerous factors such as recurrence plots, fuzzy measure analysis, online betting odds and the weather forecast from the iGoogle weather gadget, we can create a sophisticated model of what the internet will look like 24 hours from now.
Sweet.

I am guessing this is their April Fool's joke?
Remember the old SNL skit about the post office that would back date your mail - and even beat it up a little to make it look like it had been lost.
Not nearly as useful as Google's Wakeup Kit:

Google puts a lot of work into their April fools jokes...does anyone remember what the joke was last year? Was it a google dating service?
This would actually be useful...
