 Outside the Beltway

Google Friendly Names

“Parents-to-be routinely plug baby names into search engines” to ensure that they are not Google bait, in order to ensure their kid-to-be has a name that Googles well. So claims WSJ’s Kevin Delaney. Now, I don’t doubt that there are multiple people who do this routinely but I would be quite surprised indeed if this were a routine practice.

Is this, like Twitter, something that I just don’t “get”?

Probably so you won't give your child the same name as:

A) a serial killer
B) someone else that's done something dispicable or had something dispicable done to them. (ie would you want to name your child JonBennet Joyner?)
C) A very liberal journalist/truther. :D
