Citizen Smash is confused:
LESS THAN ONE YEAR after the “unilateral” invasion of Iraq, the United States is conducting a joint military operation, along with our allies Canada and France, to restore order in Haiti. And it’s been sanctioned by the United Nations.Whatever happened to the “irreperable damage to international order” that Operation Iraqi Freedom was supposed to bring?

Wow. He's really scraping the bottom of the barrel here with that one.
Geesh.
What about the calls the Democrats to intervene in Haiti as an unilaterist action? I was waiting for the United Nations resolutions, monitor teams and the formal studies before we took this reckless step.
I should find it deliciously ironic that the same Democrats who complained about "unilateralism" in Iraq have been slamming the administration for not acting unilaterally in Haiti.
But I don't. I find it pathetically predictable. I find it perfectly in character for them to embrace two contradictory positions before breakfast and then treat anyone who notices the contradiction as a dunderhead.
Their positions are not inconsistent.
They opposed removing Saddam, an anti-American dictator, from Iraq.
They wanted us to help prop-up Aristide, an anti-American dictator, in Haiti.
So what you're saying is, they're all for unilateralism when it suits them politically.
