Heartless Candidate Attacks Opponent’s Heart Transplant
Hotline On Call says of the below ad, “This has to be just about the nastiest piece of direct mail we’ve ever seen.”
A candidate for State Assembly in the central valley region of CA, Bill Conrad (R) is apparently running on the platform that his opponent won’t survive his term because he had a heart transplant.
Attack line: ‘Tom Berryhill doesn’t have the HEART for State Assembly’
Wow. And this is just the Republican primary.

Could not resist this - but that is heartless!!
Just think what we would see if Dick Cheney decided to run for President!
I have mixed feelings. The ad is loathsome -- and yet, I'm not sure that the poor health of a candidate isn't relevant.
I object to the general tackiness of the ad, plus the junk mathematics of implying that someone whose condition has a 7-year average lifespan has only a year left because it's been six years.
The basic objection -- that the candidate is in too poor of health for the job -- seems like it could be legitimate. Assuming there's any truth to it.
Gosh, don't you hate it when someone raises a (possibly) legitimate point in a vile way?
Conrad has only three years left on his asshole transplant expectancy.
Eneils:
Conrad did not have a transplant, he was born that way.
Imagine what's going to happen when he finds out his opponent has a Viagra prescription.
