Hillary’s Exit Speech
Egads, this speech is horrible. It’s way too long for a concession speech, especially this long after the race ended. And the inane “And that’s why we must elect Barack Obama as our president” refrain was tiresome after the second repetition.
And can we please stop whining about how hard it is for a woman to run for political office? It simply hasn’t been the case for the last twenty years.
In the spirit of bipartisan comity, though, I’d really like to blast the 51st woman into space.

I didn't see the speech, but I don't think you were the target audience.
Did somebody tie you in your chair and make you watch?
Clinton's speech was definitely an ego massage. A woman becoming prime minister of Pakistan was an extraordinary accomplishment. A woman running for US president? not so much.
The more extraordinary aspect of Clinton's presidential bid is how she blew it when it was practically handed to heron a silver platter.
There is aa report of an undetermined slimy substance on the stage when she left.
I bet there is still a solid 5 to 10% of people who will not vote for a woman. A 10% win s a landslide. It is possible, just more difficult for a woman. Hillary just didn't have the political skills.
Steve
And there is at least a 10% boost from women, who will vote for a woman simply because of her gender. Clinton seems to have gotten the benefit of that boost in this primary election. So how is it more difficult?
