As one who has worked on the design of civilian nuclear reactors (Alvin W. Vogel Plant in GA) and supervised the operation of Naval Nuclear reactors (a few submarines - 1120) I have zero issues with nuclear energy. Unfortunately, Jane Fonda is obviously more knowledgeable than I. (cough, she does a better approximation of the Mae West Curve of radionuclides - anyone with knowledge of atom splitting knows the Mae West curve even if it isn't politically correct).

Some friends were recently involved in a bio-diesel venture. It was small, and going into an industrial area (a fuel farm to be exact). After obtaining over 80 permits their venture capital ran dry (only 40 more permits to go on GREEN fuel). The permitting process is pure obstructionist. OVER 100 permits? Just try tracking all this government crapola.

The funny thing is that they were taking the WASTE from the ethanol plants and making biodiesel. Now it goes down the drain into the ocean, or the local sewer plant.

But blame Big Oil, not entrenched bureaucrats.
