And the reality of the Russian gas industry is that it's a Ukrainian gas industry. That goes back to the 1930's. To be fair, it's not just the Russians either trying to make a quick buck or exploit the gas for political power - 80% of Europe's gas runs through Ukraine, who has stolen gas in the past (the reason why the Russians are cutting it off now is because they are claiming Ukraine stole a certain amount of gas again). I agree. Every year this happens, including last year if I recall correctly, and the year before it.

To be fair, it's not just the Russians either trying to make a quick buck or exploit the gas for political power - 80% of Europe's gas runs through Ukraine, who has stolen gas in the past (the reason why the Russians are cutting it off now is because they are claiming Ukraine stole a certain amount of gas again).
