However when one of the tenents of the religion of many countries is to spead their beliefs through the use of the sword. You either submit or fight. Sort of like the Nazi's or Communists. Free men do not wish to dominate others but as long as there are those who wish to impose their will on you, your only choice is to fight or submit.
