Is Fred Thompson the Answer?

Marshall Manson asks, “Is Thompson the answer? If so, what’s the question?”
Noting Thompson’s strengths, Manson points out, “He’s attractive, articulate, tough, and solid conservative.” Joe Biden might note that he’s “clean,” too.

Well, there's already any number of 'walking dead' in both primary races...
I admit that I don't 'swing that way' so I'm not the best judge, but isn't it a bit of a stretch to call Fred Thompson "attractive". Saying he has a heck of a voice I would agree with. He could probably read the Petraeus tasking order and get people excited about winning the war in Iraq, but 'attractive'?
Fred Thompson is the last hope for a struggling conservative movement in this country. With him, the conservatives will make a resounding comeback. Without him, we will be wandering in the wilderness for a long time.
I may not agree with Thompson on everything, but he gives the impression of being a solid, principled guy.
Fred Thompson is an ACTOR--that means he is a Hollywood Liberal at heart. I wouldn't be surprised if he's friends with David Geffen or some other member of the Cult of ClintObama.
Could never work. Conservatives keep saying they hate Hollywood -- they would never vote for an actor for president. Oops.
He's got at least as much charisma as Giuliani, and less baggage. He also knows the Bill of Rights, which we should probably consider keeping--war or no war.
