Why on earth would you claim that John Bolton represents the U.S. while Jimmy Carter doesn't? Jimmy Carter won a national election. John Bolton couldn't even get the confirmation of a senate completely controlled by his own Presidents party? I wouldn't attach America's weight and power behind anything that John Bolton does, he's just yet another Bush guy who has failed his way up to a promotion...

Carter did not know how to be President when he was, why should he know how now? He has been on the wrong side of every issue from 1976 on. The only explaination is that he is crazy.

There was a time when I liked Carter despite his awful stint as president.

But now I find him to be a tiresome meddler who somehow doesn't quite grasp human nature enough to realize there actually are bad guys in the world, and as much as you would like to make peace with them, they don't want to make peace with you.

Pacifists are nice to have around at times-just to keep the most hawkish among us in line, but pacifism as a national policy is pure suicide.

Carter needs to stick with building houses.
