John Quiggin’s Beard
As promised, John Quiggin has shaved his beard to help raise money for the Australian Leukemia Foundation. He raised over $6,000 AUS. Here is the shaving photoset on Flickr of him paying off his part of the deal.
A commenter on the amusingly long series of discussions here and elsewhere about the utilitarian aspects of the exchange pointed me to Alex Tabarrok’s musings on the general subject last summer, which in turn pointed me to Eric Crampton’s. Barring some Nobel Prize in Economics-worthy new posting elsewhere, I suspect that shall conclude my investigation into this matter.
