KIDS AND TECHNOLOGY
Joy Larkin has discovered one of the downsides of teaching: the kiddies make you feel mighty old. The pre-schoolers to whom she’s teaching a computer basics class already know quite a bit about computers–but had never heard of a floppy disk. What’s really bad is teaching college kids and realizing they know nothing about President Reagan. Or that there was another President George Bush before this one.

I remember programming at age 8 (1980) - an old Radio Shack TRS-80. Jumping into it early has proven to be a boon.
