		<description>It strikes me as quite a coup for &lt;i&gt;LAT&lt;/i&gt; as well.

Perhaps the idea is to radcially elevate the op/ed page.  While I concur that these guys are usually unknown, there is the example of the &lt;i&gt;WSJ&lt;/i&gt; and Paul Gigot as a high-profile op/ed page editor of a page considered to be influential.  And then there&#039;s Tony Blankley (sp?) at &lt;i&gt;WaTi&lt;/i&gt;.</description>
