KUCINICH HEDGING BETS

Dennis Kucinich plans to seek re-election to his congressional seat while also pursuing the Democratic nomination. I find this practice objectionable, since it means that voters will have to pay for a special election if the candidate wins both elections (unlikely in this case), but it is perfectly legal under Ohio law.

Since I already declared my intention to run for president under the Democratic party earlier (either here or on another blog), and because I hate to be outdone by one of my competitors, I too shall declare my candidacy for Kucinich's Congressional seat.

...and I am mighty disappointed that the media has not paid any attention to my declarations. It seems as if Joe Biden is getting more press than I am. Aaaargh!

It is also legal, iirc, in Texas. You must admit it's the best of both worlds. If you win, you win. And hey, even if you lose you win!
