Libby Trial: First Juror Out After One Day?

Court opened at 9:28 this morning with the news that a juror has just announced that her employer will only pay her for ten days, so “we may lose her” if that can’t be resolved. Judge Walton was rather perplexed that she hadn’t mentioned that before but my guess is this isn’t the first time something like this has happened in his court.

No word on which juror it is other than that she’s female. As one reporter here noted, however, “That doesn’t help much” given that the jury is two-thirds female. Obviously, though, it’s not a government employee as they would be paid.
