Yep, the rules are different for coaches and executives. Indeed, Tagliabue is nominated and still active.

For years, I thought Reeves was already in the HOF as a player. But it's a different Dan Reeves

Rams - DAN REEVES(1967) - 1941-1971.

I'm guessing he was an executive or something, since he was with them 30 years and was enshrined 4 years before retiring.

Did Reeves qualify for induction as a player? Here's a picture of Tagliabue in his younger days as a college basketball player.

Reeves is eligible? Clearly I don't know my induction rules well enough - I thought one had to be out five years. Is that just for inductio nas a player?
