MAXIM FOR THE TROOPS? Reuters reports its publisher is going to send free copies of Maxim and Stuff magazines to our troops in the Middle East. This publicity stunt thoughtful gesture would be appreciated were it not for the fact that the Muslim censors in those countries will likely confiscate them rather than take the trouble to mark out all the content they’d deem offensive.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.
