Indeed. I'd estimate the odds of a 23rd century space crew landing twice in 1960s Mayberry to be...astronomical.

It would also make for interesting viewing watching Barney scramble for his bullet. Of course, after everything calmed down a bit, Kirk would start hitting on Ellie, which would create ANOTHER stir and Andy would get riled up and suspicious. I think he would probably call the state police in Raleigh.

Bones would find a way to stay and eat with Andy and Aunt Bea, and would seriously consider leaving the crew to settle down in Mayberry, but his services would be needed after a terrible misunderstanding. Rafe Hollister would gun down one of the anonymous landing team members who got too close to where Rafe's still was hidden. Doc Benson would try to help to no avail, but Bones would get out his little flashing whirly deal and the guy would get better. Which would create a stir, what with that Prime Directive and all.

And Floyd would go on and on about Mr. Spock's ears--never seen a set like that--except for that Brewster boy.

There was one other trip that Kirk, Spock and McCoy took to "Mayberry." In "THE PARADISE SYNDROME" (season 3) Captain Kirk leads a landing party to an Earthlike planet and finds an advanced alien obelisk near a settlement of a primitive Native American tribe. That settlement was at "Myers Lake" from The Andy Griffith Show.

Myers Lake is where you see Andy and Opie walking down the dirt road to begin each episode.

Just something every Trek fan might want to know.
