McConnell Holds Kentucky
Mitch McConnell, the Republican Leader in the Senate, held on to his seat. This guarantees that, barring a post-election party switch, the Democrats will be held under the “magic” number of 60 seats.
I’ve always thought McConnell was one of the good guys, an articulate defender of limited government who maintained an air of civility and grace. I’m especially pleased that he wasn’t swept away in the anti-Republican tide.
