Men Who Carry Purses Go For Luxury

Reuters reports, “Men are more likely than women to opt for a luxury brand when buying handbags — and it’s the label, not the price, that counts.”
It seems to me that the survey is focused on entirely the wrong question here.

I don't get what the big deal many men make about a "man bag." They're simply briefcases that can be used places besides work.
As the only purse-carrier in our house, my bag is typically stuffed with VH's keys, cigarettes, sunglasses, wallet and any other little items he thinks he just has to have along with him, but won't carry himself.
I'd LOVE it if he'd get his own damn bag. So long as it's not nicer than mine.
As a general rule, I don't carry anything that won't fit in my pockets.
My friends might make fun of me for carrying my man bag, but it's worth it to have instant access to my Pocket PC, MP3 player, cell phone, digital camera, Leatherman, wallet, et al, not to mention never having to carry anything in my pockets. At this point my friends probably think that my change purse is more sissy than my man bag.
Personally, my selection process consisted of finding the smallest bag that could be worn as a back pack that had the highest number of small pockets and didn't look like a lady bug. I ended up with a small Victorinox. Of course, 1 year later I spied a knock-off in Walmart for 1/5 the price.
It's not a purse, it's European!
If a man-purse is good enough for Jack Bauer...
