I wish I was down in Aruba Right now. It is a beautiful Island and has a great Golf Course, though the wind tends to push the golf ball around a lot.

This time of year not observing Daylight Savings Time doesn't mean a dang thing, since nobody observes DST during the Winter.

...despite being similarly situated latitudinally. To "pick a nit," I suspect you meant "similarly situated longitudinally." You are at a considerably more southern latitude, but at about the same longitude. Being further south during the winter does, however, make sunrise a bit earlier (during the summer it makes it later). Anyway, Merry Christmas to you.
