A real reporter would first confirm a story, instead of printing rumors. but hey, Outside the Beltway is very "tabloid-like".

From what I've seen, a "real reporter" would either ignore the fact they they were completely wrong, or print a small retraction in the next edition. While OTB isn't investigative, it's certainly not "tabloid-like".

I think you should put the retraction to this bunk, at the TOP of the page, or put a big CANCEL across the entire article.

The media is freaking out about the cost of a bunch of Sarah Palins clothes? Yet, they make no issue of the fact of what Obama's home cost, or where he came up with the money, or the clothes he wears and what they cost, and Michelle Obama ordering LOBSTERS and Iranian Caviar for LUNCH?

Shouldn't it be standard policy that if an anonymous source feeds you provably false information, that the don't remain anonymous when you issue your retraction?

I also wonder if Bithead will also post a retraction of his comments about the Obamas, now that the foundation of those comments has been proven false. Or if he will continue to not let facts get in the way of his beliefs.
