Islamic or Islamo-terrorism exist just as much as Christian white supremacy terrorism does.

From terror to horror, MG asked to Iraqi bloggers at IBC: If you could spend five minutes alone with Saddam in his cell, what would you do?

* I am an artist looking for a good photography of the "next" Zarqawi. Thx.

How can you not describe him as an Islamic terrorist? That's the mantel Zarqawi has chosen to hold. He and the rest of the savages have made the decision to fight for their "Islamic Cause" where they consider themselves martyrs for blowing up innocent civilians in the name of religion. That's different than saying muslims are all terrorists, but I have yet to see widespread incidences of Christians blowing up non-believers in the name of Christ, Jews burning down religious structures that don't house the Torah, or any other religious group that has such a huge following of terrorists committed to acting out in violence on the basis of religion.

We don’t live in a utopian world. We live in a very dangerous one, made more dangerous by the Islamist terrorists (predominantly Arab, but Persian, Chechen, Asian and others) and made even more dangerous by those who either do not recognize the situation as such or go the route of appeasement.

But here’s what the president says "The war on terror is not a figure of speech. It is an inescapable calling of our generation. The terrorists are offended not merely by our policies - they are offended by our existence as free nations. No concession will appease their hatred. No accommodation will satisfy their endless demands. Their ultimate ambitions are to control the peoples of the Middle East, and to blackmail the rest of the world with weapons of mass terror. There can be no separate peace with the terrorist enemy. Any sign of weakness or retreat simply validates terrorist violence, and invites more violence for all nations. The only certain way to protect our people is by early, united, and decisive action."

I offer the following list of numerical data if you want to look at the issue from a religious perspective.

Number of times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible: over 700

Number of times Jerusalem is mentioned in the Koran: 0

Number of terrorist attacks by Jews since 1967: 1

Number of terrorist attacks by Muslims since 1967: thousands

Percentage of Palestinians who have praised Islamic terrorists: approximately 90

Number of Muslims in the world: more than 1 billion

Number of Muslim demonstrations against Islamic terror: approximately 3

The President has said about Islam: ...Islam inspires countless individuals to lead lives of honesty, integrity and morality (12/5/02). A...It's [Islam] a faith based on love, not hate. (9/10/02) "The Islam that we know...teaches the value and the importance of charity, mercy and peace. (11/15/01).

Well, he is the President has to say these sorts of politically-correct things in the belief that they are necessary to be said, because to declare the truth would create a threat to the maintenance of order or, in the case of the Newsweek Koran piece, it might provoke an outraged citizenry to retaliate in a vengeful and illegal way, jeopardizing human life.

I have no such impediment and trust that the truth can only serve to enlighten and not to incite.

Islam exists today as it is written in the Koran and lived by Muhammad. Muhammad, as you may know, was not quite the role model that today's society might want to emulate. He had affairs with maids and slave girls and was a pedophile (the girl's name was Aisha, she was 9 he was 53. He was also involved in the slave trade, assassinations and genocide. But, what the hell, nobody is perfect.)

But don't just take my word for it, let's go straight to the source, which, in this case is the Koran.

Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them. (2:191)
Fight and slay the pagans (translation: that's us) seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem. (9:5)
Slay or crucify or cut the hands and feet of the unbelievers...(5:34)
...strike off the heads of the disbelievers...[make a] wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives [for ransom] (947:4)
[treatment of disbelievers]...garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skin shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods (22:19).
The Koran also instructs Muslims to slay or crucify or cut the hands and the feet of the unbelievers (5:34), fight unbelievers until no other religion except Islam remains. (3:85)

Given these basic teachings of Islam there is little reason to be surprised at the beheading of Americans Nick Berg and Paul Johnson, or any of the countless terrorist attacks perpetuated in the name of Islam.

I think the description was more than accurate.

Is gay necessarily bad? No... but I think what the original commenter was alluding to was the fact that they cover their women, consider them unclean, and men commonly use boys (ashna) for sexual outlets. Now if that isn't gay, I don't know what is. It's definitely f*cked up for sure though. Peace!

I have nothing against anyone being religious, but the odds ANY religion actually being true are slim to nothing for hundreds of reasons. (I marvel the day religion all turns to philosophy) I do agree with Mohammed though. It was a poor choice of wording to say “Islamic Terrorist” and anyone that calls Islam gay obviously has no respect for human emotion.

The US and its military are so inept at dealing with the terrorists in Iraq and elsewhere that it is actually funny.
I am sure that the Bush Admin will spin the departure of Al-Zarqawi as another "mission accomplished."
If they really want to capture him, tell the IRS that he owes the IRS $500.00..They will locate him in no time flat.

Yeah, so if there was someone that came along that would have been worse than Hitler, should we have let Hitler just go about his business? Idiot.

Islam is a gay, western hating, backwards religion.

What's the difference between the headline "Islamic Terrorist Site" and reference to a "Militant Islamic Web Site"?

Criticism is due, however misdirected. Do we blame the media, or those who align their violent deeds with a religion? Followers of Islam should be fallling all over themselves to condemn his actions.

I suppose this line of thinking leads one to the conclusion that Zarqawi has been "blamed". I'd say he's pretty open about his deeds and is proud of them.

Very likely he is in a neighboring country, although this could be a lame ploy to make the Coalition forces stop looking for him in Iraq. Wouldn't it be ironic if he were to die from a lack of care, due to his attacks on peaceful, civilian establishments?
