Minority Conservatives and the Sellout Smear

In her syndicated column today, Michelle Malkin sheds light on an aspect of the Armstrong Williams payola scandal that had scarcely occured to me:
Ever since I began penning conservative opinions and investigative journalism nearly 15 years ago, liberals have accused me of getting paid to think my own thoughts. The attacks I face every day â in e-mail, on the airwaves, and in person â are far more vicious in nature than most conservative journalists receive because I also happen to be a woman and a minority.
Rabid liberal elitists expect and demand that “women of color” in public and political life adopt their left-wing political orthodoxy. When we don’t accept such tripe, their racist and sexist diatribes against us are unmatched. “Progressive” cartoonists Ted Rall and Jeff Danziger mocked President Bush’s national security advisor Condoleezza Rice, who is black, with caricatures of her as a “House Nigga” (Rall) and a thick-lipped, bare-footed Prissy character from “Gone With the Wind” (Danziger). A writer for the militant open-borders publication, La Voz de Aztlan, assailed conservative author Linda Chavez and me as sellouts and complained: “Both are married to Jews, both are Republicans and both are being utilized to attack Mexicans and Mexican-Americans.”

It probably didn't occur to you because you are an insensitive white guy.
There are plenty of idiots & hate-mongers on both sides of the asile. To attribute this type of behavior to one's left/right status seems pretty lame.
I am not sure that I see what Williams accepting payola has to do with hateful emails Malkin gets. Sounds like a bait and switch.
So why would Democrats need a reason to be vicious?
Well since Malkin is a sellout I don't see how calling her one is a smear. Her writing, as an asian, to justify the incarceration of asians during WWII is no different that a jew writing to justify the holacost or an african american writing to justify slavery. They are all moral sellouts.
Conservatives seem to produce these kind of people all the time. They fit a need that conservatives have to defend the morally indefensible. Next, I am sure we'll see a conservative american Iraqi out there justifying torture. They are too dumb to know that they are just being used and they get all snarky when told.
