I got an experiment for you, when a muslim is about to cut your head off, try some conservative verbal violence, and see if you can fend him off. Did Dennis Prager really write that "Israelis massacred Palestinians in the Sabra and Chatilla refugee camps"? In fact the massacres were carried out by Christian Lebanese: the Israelis were accused of failing to prevent the massacre.

So Prager could have made it an a fortiori argument: Israelis demonstrate against their fellow Israelis when they fail to prevent massacres performed by others, while Muslims don't even protest against massacres actually committed by their fellow Muslims.

Unless and until conservatives make universal and emphatic declarations against verbal violence perpetrated by fellow conservatives, it's going to remain difficult to believe that a moderate wing of this ideology actually exists?

James, complaining that someone elses point of view would be more to your liking if they first took the tiny mote of dust out of their eye that is clouding their vision would be more credible if you first took the beam out of your own eye.

I have never read about you condemming Bush for the torture and killing of innocent people. Yet he is the one directly responsible for launching an immoral illegal and unjustified war of agression on Iraq that led to torture and the death of thousands.

Hell, you voted for the guy. You are just as much at fault for the killing of innocent Iraqis as Bush is. Doesn't your conscience bother you at all?

Until you are willing to admit your mistake and condem those you supported for their senseless killings you are in no postiton to condem others for not doing the same.

Muslims are speaking out, but it doesn't mesh with the prevailing media/blogger viewpoint that Islam is a monolithic religion, dismissable with a couple of facile observations; so such voices tend to be ignored.
