National Airborne Day

Blackfive’s Matt Burden reminds me that today is National Airborne Day.

So far as I’m aware, no one gets the day off for this and no presents are exchanged. Feel free to hug your favorite paratrooper, though, or buy him a beer. The latter is by far the preferred option.

He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and infant daughter.
