		<description>I think that they made a mistake by setting the times select subscription at $49.95. I&#039;ll bet lots of bloggers would have willingly paid $15 for regular access to times opinion pieces, news and files.</description>

		<description>THE MSM&#039;s problem is that their market share is falling because the quality of their product is going down.  At some point we&#039;ll hear the argument that they deserve some sort of special exemption from the mechanics of a market-driven reality.  They, of course, deserve nothing of the sort.</description>

		<description>You won&#039;t see me shedding any tears over cutbacks like these.  The NYT could have prevented this.  Had they been a little more interested in guaranteeing facts (which most people want) rather than political ideologies to its readership, perhaps the readership wouldn&#039;t have abandoned them so easily.

Bottom line: Americans found another way to get what they wanted, primarily because the NYT wasn&#039;t giving it to them.</description>
