NO SPRINGER

John Lemon reports that Jerry Springer will not make a run for the Senate.

I guess what with the Huffingtons, Larry Flynt, and other such candidates running in California, he would have been just another face in the crowd.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and infant daughter.

Actually, I'm not that good of a reporter. USA Today picked up the story first. I did note it however.

I think I noted over at Poliblogger as well that since Dianne Feinstein is not running for CA governor, she will have the envious position of casting the tie-breaking vote since all 35 million other California residents appear to be running and will likely vote for themselves.

And Howard Dean got his MD from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine (Yeshiva University in the Bronx). Somehow he should be able to use this against Lieberman.

Interesting. I mean, Albert Einstein was smart and everything, but his doctorate was in like physics or something. I wouldn't want to go to a medical school run by him.

Yeah, especially since he is all dead and decayed. Yech.

I can see tomorrow's NYT headline now:

"Comment Box on Blog Reports Arnold's Run For Governor."

Reuters -- Scooping all major news agencies, some guy named Randy was the first to reveal Arnold Schwartzenegger's plan to run for California governor. News sources around the world hurried to Outside the Beltway to learn more details of this breaking story.

:-)

P.S. The AOL man came by again today.

Indeed!

Frankly, if people would read OTB, what other news would they need?
