ON TO BASRA: As with most of the news accounts, this piece is mainly rehash with a new time stamp: British Troops Poised for Advance on Second Largest City in Iraq. The most noteworthy thing is that the population does indeed seem to be viewing our forces as liberators rather than conquerers.

Not bad for a unilateral invasion led by an unscrupulous, uncouth, moron cowboy who only got the job because of his daddy. . .
