As per your request for other suggestions as to who might be worse than Carter at dealing with Islamic extremists. I suggest William Jefferson Clinton. While Carter was at least as ineffective in opposing the Soviets as he was Islamic radical. Clintons credentials show failure at every turn when dealing with multiple opportunities to courteract Islamic terrorists. One need only review the brilliance of Somalia and the sucessful withdrawal of our forces to understand why I suggest Clinton. While Clinton had far more opportunities to deal with these terrorists, his response never failed to be inaddaquate. Think how the world would look if Osama had just ponied up that 15 million for the new library and NY home.

I disagree that Clinton would make a candidate. He merely displays the Dem's good-cop/bad-cop approach of playing a State Dept.-run surface game and a police action-run stealth game.
