Weird tune, and sad to find that the post title is the name of the band, not the more famous song. The Cure on OTB, that would have been both hilarious and sublime. (a quick check of Wikipedia reveals, even more disappointingly, that the band is not named after the song).

In point of fact, that "hilarious and sublime" happenstance has already occured, just 4 1/2 months past -- though it was "In Between Days" not the one that shares a title with this post.

Cool. No offense intended, btw. Just that this is the most strait-laced site in the blogosphere this side of Kevin Drum. That's one of the reasons that, as a moderate liberal, I like this site: its conservative manner and temperament, its absence of trash talk and alarmism.

But occasionally posting light pieces that run counter to type can only amuse and delight your regular readers. And that doesn't just mean swishy stuff like The Cure or The Smiths, but also (by way of example) high-octane, low-IQ stuff like Deep Purple or Motley Crue, or some hot funk from James Brown or the Gap Band. Along with the regular fare of George Jones and Otis Redding, of course.
