OTB Latenight – Jethro Tull

I am always interested in theories as to what this, or any Jethro Tull song, is actually about (beyond merely sounding cool, of course):

About the Author: Dodd, who used to run a blog named ipse dixit, is an attorney, a veteran of the United States Navy, and a fairly good poker player. He can kill a mime using only his thumb.

He joined the staff at OTB in May 2007.

Does it need anything beyond sounding cool? ;)

Personally, I've always thought it was about some kind of personal train wreck (the exact nature of which is left vague on purpose). But that's me.

The locomotive is an analogy for life's journey - Charlie is 'God'. And it's a GREAT rock song!
